What web design involves
A website is more than a layout. It is a decision about what a visitor sees first, what they read next and what they do at the end. Good web design covers the structure of the pages, the visual system, the writing on the page, the motion, and the technical work that makes the site fast and easy for search engines to read.
What a good business website does
Says what you do and who it is for within the first few seconds
Loads quickly on a phone over an ordinary mobile connection
Gives each visitor one clear next step, such as calling, booking or sending a message
Stays readable and usable on every screen size, with text that meets contrast guidelines
Has a clear page structure, descriptive titles and headings, and a sitemap, so search engines can understand it
Is easy for you to update without hiring a developer
Pages most businesses need
A home page, one page for each main service, an about page that shows who is behind the business, and a contact page. Many businesses also add a journal or blog, because articles are how a site earns visibility for the questions customers type into search.
Design and search work together
Search visibility is easier to build when the site is designed for it from the beginning. That means one clear topic per page, headings that match how people search, fast-loading images and video, and structured data that describes the business. Our SEO services pick up where the design leaves off, and they can also be taken on their own.
Working together remotely
Lemurian Studios works with clients anywhere in the United States. Planning, design reviews and launch happen online, so your location does not change the process or the result.
Common questions
How long does a website take?
It depends on the number of pages and on how ready your text and images are. We give a realistic schedule once we have seen the scope.
Do I need a blog?
Not to launch. A blog helps when you have useful things to say about the problems your customers are trying to solve, and the time to keep publishing. A thin blog does more harm than none.
Can I edit the site myself?
Sites are designed and built in Framer, so common changes like text, images and new articles can be made in the editor without a developer.
