What good logo design means
A logo is a small shape with a large job. It has to be recognized as a tiny icon in a browser tab and as a mark on a storefront sign. The logos that last are simple enough to remember, different enough from competitors to be noticed, and flexible enough to survive being placed on a photo, a dark background or a one-color print.
What a logo project includes
A primary logo, plus a simplified version for small sizes
One-color and reversed versions for dark backgrounds and single-ink printing
A square version for social profile images and app icons
Clear space and minimum size rules, so the mark is never crowded or shrunk until it breaks
Colors with exact values for screen and print
Files in the vector and image formats a printer and a web developer each need
A logo or a full brand identity?
A logo on its own suits a business that already has consistent colors, typefaces and a way of writing. If those are not settled, the logo will look unsupported the moment it lands on a website or a menu. Brand identity design covers the whole system: color, type, imagery, voice and the rules for using them together.
How a logo connects to your website
The logo's shapes and colors set the tone for the rest of the site, and its small version becomes the favicon, the icon that appears in browser tabs and next to your site in search results. Settling the logo and the website design in the same project avoids redoing one to fit the other.
Working together remotely
Lemurian Studios works with clients anywhere in the United States. Reviews, revisions and file delivery happen online, so your location does not change the process or the result.
Common questions
Can you redesign my existing logo?
Yes. A refresh keeps what customers already recognize and fixes what does not work, such as thin lines that disappear at small sizes or colors that fail on dark backgrounds.
How many concepts will I see?
That depends on the scope we agree on. We explain the approach and the number of directions before the work starts.
What files will I receive?
You should expect vector and image versions of the logo for print and screen. The exact list depends on the scope.
