Web design / Nashville, TN
Tourists come for the honky-tonks. A lot of the city’s office jobs, though, come from healthcare, and that changes what a good Nashville website looks like.
Selling to the people who run hospitals
HCA Healthcare is headquartered here, and around it has grown a dense cluster of companies that sell to hospitals and physician groups: billing and revenue-cycle firms, staffing agencies, software vendors, consultants. Their buyers are finance and operations people who read carefully and forward links to colleagues before anyone books a call. They judge a vendor’s website roughly the way they judge a contract, by what it actually commits to.
That pushes the design in a particular direction. Fewer adjectives, more specifics. One page per service, saying what you do, who it’s for and what happens after someone fills in the form. A plain account of how you handle data, written with your compliance people rather than guessed at by us. And a brand identity that looks like a company a health system would trust with its payroll, not one that might fold next spring. If you’re early and don’t have case studies yet, say plainly what you’ve built and who’s behind it; that reads better than borrowed logos.
Saturday night downtown
The other Nashville is the one on Broadway and in the Gulch, packed with bachelorette parties most weekends and with country fans every June during CMA Fest. Businesses that serve that crowd live on group bookings. A salon doing hair and makeup for a wedding party of eight, a bar renting out its upstairs room, a photographer selling a two-hour shoot on the pedestrian bridge: all of them need a booking flow that handles a group, a deposit and a date months out, and none of them should make the bride’s sister call during business hours. Our guide for salons and spas goes into booking setups in more detail.
Franklin is not Nashville
Davidson County and the city run as one Metro government, but the counties around it have firm identities of their own, and residents search accordingly. Franklin and Brentwood in Williamson County are full of corporate offices, Nissan’s North American headquarters among them, along with the service businesses that grew up around them. Murfreesboro in Rutherford County has MTSU and a population that never thinks of itself as suburban. Hendersonville and Gallatin in Sumner County, Mt. Juliet and Lebanon in Wilson, Columbia down in Maury: each has its own searches.
So a Franklin lawn-care company is better off with a page about Franklin than with “Nashville area” in the header. We usually work that out at the planning stage, as part of the SEO work, by asking where your best customers actually live.
The music side, briefly
Session players, engineers, producers and the photographers who shoot album covers all need the same thing: a portfolio that loads quickly, plays audio without a fight and makes it obvious how to hire you. It’s a small site done carefully. Our creatives guide has the specifics.
How it works from out of town
Nothing about the process needs a Nashville office, which is lucky, because we don’t have one. Calls go on Central Time, each design arrives as a shareable link, and a closing walkthrough gets your team adding pages and posts themselves.
Questions from Middle Tennessee
Our buyers are hospital executives. Should the site look corporate?
It should look careful, which isn’t the same thing. Clean type, real photography of your people and pages that answer procurement questions directly will do more than stock pictures of stethoscopes.
Can a Franklin business show up for Nashville searches too?
For some services, yes, especially ones people don’t mind driving for. But your best ground is usually your own town first, then the places next to it.
Can customers book a group and pay a deposit online?
Yes. Framer connects to standard booking and payment tools, and we design the page around whichever one you already use or pick with you.
